What is a Semi-Dedicated Server?

Semi-Dedicated servers fill the gap between shared hosting and a dedicated server, it's a bit like 'broadband' hosting, all the benefits of a dedicated server without the worry.

A semi-dedicated server gives access to the system, this allows modification of server configuration files, install applications or modify system software, in a shared environment you have to rely on server settings that are 'best fit' for all clients and this may not suit your needs.

Backups

We retain 7 days of off-server backups stored on our special backup cluster. These backups are included as an automated free value-add service.

As with any automated technology however, the integrity of these backups cannot be manually checked daily. If your data is mission critical for you, we also encourage you to keep your own backups as well. While our backups are generally reliable, we cannot be held responsible for backing up your data.
